Smith Wesson N frame

Anyone have a pre model 27 with 3.5 inch barrel. I picked up a nice looking revolver in .357 magnum. I could not find the model but it appears to have been made a long time ago before the model numbers were stamped on the frame. From information I have found on the web it appears to be an S prefix pre 27 model. This bad boy is built like a tank and about as heavy. Any info would be appreciated.

Picture(s) would make this a lot easier. Sounds like a nice gun. Several guys on here know Smiths and could get you mfg date with a serial number.

Thanks Karl. I took a nude photo of her, without the imitation stags, with my Ipad. I plan to dress her up in some wood grips and take some better pics.

I payed too much and it seems like everybody wants one. I am still thinking about a dual glock trade that I was offered while out shopping for grips.
