This is gonna be really, really silly and probably include some grave ignorance on my part...here goes.
Considering both semi-auto pistols and rifles have rifling what distinguishes a semi-auto pistol from an SBR (short barreled rifle)?
Is there a certain length the barrel must have to break from the pistol classification to the rifle classification?
Is it the rifling of the barrel itself? The number of lands and grooves per length of the barrel?
Or am I just being a silly goose about the whole thing?
