    Hymel's has declined recently.

    I go there every couple of months and have not noticed any decline in the service or quality of food; It;s always good. There was talk about it shutting down because of the iron/steel plant, but I think it will be several years before that happens

    I have been told by someone close to Jimmy that Nucor has asked them to keep the restaurant open. I also heard from a less reliable source that he has property near where LA-3125 ends at whatever they call the old Texaco Refinery now.

    The last times I've eaten there the food and service was the same as I experience from 1967 until I was transferred in 1990. Can't complain.

    YMMV.

    A little off topic but what would you guys say is the best place for Louisiana seafood in the Baton Rouge-Hammond-Ascension area?
