    You can buy threaded barrels direct from Hi-Point, and I would assume that they are not all that expensive. As for the can, well, if you already have one, why not make it so that all your guns (of the right caliber) can use it?

    If you were an assassin on a budget it would probably be a good throw away set up. I remember a movie where an assassin had to dump his suppressed P7 to make it look like a father of a family killed everyone in the house (assassination attempt went way wrong). A detective found it and said something along the lines of "Would a low income guy like this have a $1500 pistol?"

    I don't remember the movie but if anyone can figure it out I'd love to Netflix it! Some mentally handicapped boy ended up being the only witness to the assassin because he was hiding in a closet.
