Maybe we should make it where they don't sell any ammunition to anyone, by not buying it from them no matter what age? Everybody's talking no flights with Delta, no cars from Enterprise, and I know plenty of people on this site are already strongly morally opposed to shopping at Wally World anyway. I'll be the first to admit, I'd have a tough time totally abandoning Walmart, I can't stand grocery shopping at Winn Dixie and they're going belly up already, but maybe when it sits on their shelves unsold they'll relent.

Academy has been asking for my DOB every time I buy ammo now. You can look at me and tell that I am 50 years old but they still ask anyway.

Because the 18 year old kid working the register is required to punch in the date on the computer. They do the same at Winn Dixie and Rouses whenever I buy beer.

    Tell them DOB
    They punch it in
The computer says Yes or No

That is literally the automated idiot proof society we live in now.

It’s hard to avoid Wal-Mart 100%, but I’ve been working on it. I no longer buy from their sporting goods department.

    It's easy to avoid Wal-Mart 1,000%.

Instead of Wal-Mart, I go to the local grocery store.
Instead of Wal-Mart, I go to the local gun shop.
Instead of Wal-Mart, I go to the local clothing stores.
Instead of Wal-Mart, I go to the local auto parts stores.

Betcha they will sell soap pods to a 16 year old.

Just like you have to be 21 to buy booze, Some Bum will go in and buy it for you...For a price!

Buying booze for a 16 year old is against the law. Buying ammo for someone under 21 that can legally posses ammunition is not. If I had time, I'd sit there at the counter buying ammo for anyone under 21 that needed it.

Oh Yeah, we all have been there when we were 16 looking for a six pack on a Saturday night, Didn't care about the law!
I stopped once at a hardware store in Georgia to buy a box of 22 mag's for my pistol, Had to be 21 unless the ammo was for a rifle!
All of the sudden my pistol became a rifle, It was that easy to get around the law, Guess Georgia did away with the law OR it may of been federal law?
