Although I dont think safety can ever be over looked enough at a range, I also remember a time when a range was the place for a person to come and learn about his fire arm.

I mean where else is as safe a place to go to learn and fire your weapon for the first time?

    Behind your house?

******* range officers **** me off though because in this day and age when we need more people coming to the ranges, learning their weapons, and being more comfortable with firearms, such over reacting, can actually drive people away.

I have certainly seen my share of ignorant shooters at the range who have done dumb things that needed a loud, quick reaction to keep people from being hurt. And I have no complaint with that what so ever at all.

But to continue to scream at someone and carry on shows a lack of profesionalism imo and does nothing to promote the sport.
