Looking for a good hog gun. Would prefer ballard rifling instead of micro-groove
It should say on the barrel which it has

Gun doesn't have to LNIB but would prefer it isn't beat up
Just looking for a good shooter

The 1894C is a 38/357 levergun with an 18in barrel
These Marlins seem to be more common in 44Mag for $350 in good condition but I want one in 38/357 for the handgun/rifle combo thing

I have a couple 1894C rifles and I dont think you will find one for 350.00 unless you get real lucky.

I've found several 1894's in 44 Mag in louisianasportsman.com in the 350 to 375 range. These would be a FTF sale so the cost would be OTD

Do more people tend to keep th 38/357?

    Here's a 1894 in 44 Mag for 375 OBO

Yes on the 38/357 question due to minimal cost of ammo compared to 44magnum and 44 special is a bit rare to find.

I have a Rossi 92 357 lever action and I am more than pleased with it. It's accurate, reliable and less expensive.

That ad on the sportsman is old--probably gone. Last few of the 44's I have seen on there have been 400. You can probably find 10 44's for every 357 thats for sale.
If your going to use it on deer and hogs a 44 is better anyways.
I have both and neither is for sale unless you want to pay me double the value of them.

That also does not appear to be the 1894C

Im not saying its impossible to find one for that price but not easy. If you are patient you may find one.

these sell often on the SASS website in .357/.38

I have seen them sell cheaper from guys in a fix who just need to move them though.
