I am confused But what I sold in the past was a few long guns?
On a side note, it's too bad you reside in Ms. Im currently in the market for a well used Beretta 92F. Im sure we could have worked out something

I'm sure there are FFL holders in NO. If not, I know one in Metairie.
Question....
If it is two MS residents, does it have to happen within the borders of MS, or can two MS residents meet in LA and do the deal?
(B2) From whom may an unlicensed person acquire a firearm under the GCA? [Back]
A person may only acquire a firearm within the person’s own State, except that he or she may purchase or otherwise acquire a rifle or shotgun, in person, at a licensee's premises in any State, provided the sale complies with State laws applicable in the State of sale and the State where the purchaser resides. A person may borrow or rent a firearm in any State for temporary use for lawful sporting purposes.
[18 U.S.C. 922(a)(3) and (5), 922(b)(3), 27 CFR 478.29 and 478.30]
A transfer fee would negate the price enough not to make it a good deal unfortunately. I would like to find someone who does transfers though. I just moved back here from out of state. I was spoiled and found someone who did them out of his house for $15. Im sure things are different here.
I know there is a Guy In St Bernard that does them for $20. You can go to GunBroker.com and pull up a listing of guys close to you by entering your ZIP.

^ SCAM OF WORDING TO SOUND CHEAPER.
I'd not use him out of principal.
ETA: FURTHER scam... No Salestax on a transfer... but I'd bet he charges it.
I've come across these types before.
No it's not, sorry. Rifles or shotguns still must be transferred. It's just that this time you could do it in the fine state of Mississippi... and then a La resident could bring it back. Can't do that for hand guns. If you sold a handgun to a La. resident it must go through a FFL here.
Sorry to aid and abed in the hijacking of this thread but isn't there a law about selling to someone in an adjacent state, a dealer and a 3-legged dog? I thought an individual could sell a long gun to someone in a bordering state without a transfer? Maybe a dealer can sell a long gun directly to someone in a bordering state without having to transfer to a dealer in their state? Can't remember. Brain is hurting.
