My wife loves the show except for the indian guys. Her parents hang out with Terrel every now and then on the Pearl. He seems like a really cool guy. I agree that they dramaticize it, but that's tv, you know?
This.Never watched one episode, don't plan on it either....tv marketing.
Most of us here know how boring or how exciting fishing, hunting, etc. can be depending on if you are catching/shooting what you want. But none of it is fun to watch, they have to dramatize it somehow. I catch it every now and then, but mostly its just on while I am doing something else.
I liked it but got burnt out on it. Same thing, over and over and over again.
My favorite is Gold Rush.
There has been a big "Swamp in the City" event at Chelsea Market (New York City) for the past week. John Folse is doing the cooking, they have an alligator pen and have had Joe, Troy and others stop by during the week. A lot of interest from the people up here. As for the show, it is family entertainment that brings money and additional interest to Louisiana. That is a good thing IMO.
'hehe, there are yankees that still believe we don't wear shoes down here, since the civil war.
After a couple of episodes of that , I gave up on it . Same old tired script .LOL if Gold Rush isn't the same thing replayed every week.
Every episode:
Argument/fight
machine Breaks
They are going to lose the lease
everyone has everything riding on this
people have bills
EVERY EPISODE has these qualities in it.

i was at cats meow during football season, joe was there, by himself,i went over and asked him if he was indeed joe lafont.he confirmef what everyone else in the bar was wondering.we hung out the rest of the day, drinking miller lites,he is a hell of a nice guy.he has come to a few parties since thenMy wife works with a lady who met Tommy and Joe at Boomtown Casino. She said they were both really nice guys.
We make a point to watch the show every week; the kids love it. I cant think of any reality show that doesnt have at least a little bit of injected drama and danger. You guys ever watch Gold Rush? Talk about a soap opera.
If y'all enjoy Gold Rush you'll really like Bering Sea Gold.
