Was wondering, how much does engraving a 1911 change the price tag on it? Especially if it comes new in the box with two magazines? I paid 600 for it. Was that too much or was 600 worth the pistol with the engraving?
Welcome from Denham Springs.........Brand/model/quality of engraveing be big determining factors. ............................................................... drill sgt.
It all depends on the buyer and what’s engraved on the gun. Some may value the engraving and be willing to pay more and some prefer an unmolested gun and will value it less. The driving factor for price is going to be make and model. If it’s a cheap Turkish 1911 $600 is a bit much. If it’s something like a colt or a S&W 1911 $600 is a good price.
It’s a Tisas non Threaded barrel, on the left it’s got a flower like pattern and says “You may all go to hell, and I’ll go to Texas” -Davy Crockett
On the right side it says “The Volunteer” and floral pattern on both sides of that too. I thought it was a pretty bad ass gun but I don’t know about 600 Came with a case, two 7 round mags, and some cleaning tools for it.
It’s a factory standard engraved production gun with a msrp of around $650 new which means big box store around $550 new and used market 450-500 best case
