You know I hope nothing happens, but the truth of human nature is if someone thinks they can get away with something they will. By even the media acknowledging this as an excuse for potential for riots, it makes it all the more possible. If give anyone an excuse to act like an ass, most of them are going to do it.

Yep. Like little kids, you give them an "excuse" or an expectation to do something and you can bet it will happen. Might not be on such a large scale as some may be thinking, but there will be those jackasses that have to live up to the expectations that have been laid out for them.

I agree, but I wouldn't worry because even if he was miraculously acquitted nothing is gonna happen. And if it does, it will happen in places far away, and if it happens close to home, it will happen in places few of us rarely venture.

Are you just yanking our chain?

Son's birthday party is today so I'm not likely going to keep up until later this afternoon.

We got this thing delivered yesterday and will have it until Monday Morning. Can't you feel the excitement in that smile?! lol

In a breaking development, the Special Prosecutor’s Office of Angela Corey has fired the IT specialist who blew the whistle on the prosecution’s concealment of evidence:

State Attorney Angela Corey fired her office’s information technology director Friday after he testified last month about being concerned prosecutors did not turn over information to George Zimmerman’s defense team in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

On the same day attorneys finished their closing arguments in that nationally watched trial, a state attorney investigator went to Ben Kruidbos’ home about 7:30 a.m. to hand-deliver a letter stating Kruidbos *can never again be trusted to step foot in this office.*

(WAJ adds) This has been a dirty prosecution in so many ways, so no one should be surprised that as soon as the jury went into deliberations the retaliation began.

They just said one of the jurors (e-6) has a husband and 2 children. Her husband has a .38 and her son has a rifle. What was the point of that?

We had one at our house for the wife's baby shower and it was very well used!!! It was loved and enjoyed by all ages from 18 months to 50+. It was a great time and day. Your son will remember this party so much that you will have a hard time out doing it in the years to come. lol

Sounds like a warning shot to anyone that wants to go after jury members once they find Zimmerman not guilty.

The mere fact that ANY one ANYWHERE in this country is even talking (even tongue-in-cheek), about the jury in a mans fight for freedom, possibly "compromising" is desperately scary to me!

Even if this type of crap happens here in the US in the shadows; this particular trial is monumental in it's breadth, scope, and impact. You guys better hope and pray this guy is found innocent based on the facts alone; nothing else!

    Holy hell!

As today drags on I am beginning to fear we will be seeing the trial once again.

Me too. One juror is black with 8 children, the others are white of various backgrounds some with children some without, one, at one time had a CHP but let it expire. I see the potential for a hung jury and if a decision doesn't come in today I believe it becomes more likely.

If it comes back hung 5-1 or 4-2 innocent on all charges will the state try again or drop it.

Well, they deliberated straight through lunch today so maybe that indicates they are wrapping it up.

I'm assuming that 6 out of 6 have to vote guilty on the manslaughter charge for it to be accepted correct? 5 out of 6 = hung jury?

I think Oregon is the only other state besides Louisiana that does not require a unanimous jury verdict for a criminal conviction.
