All masked people look the same. Follow the money. I’m sure it’s federally funded and installed and operated by someone’s family members in city gubment. Just like the pumps..when they are needed they never work. These cameras will be another multi gazillion dollar total failure like anything else in a third world area such as the chocolate city.

Something tells me these cameras will work, just not in the way they lead you to believe.

A lot of these cameras work even with masks on.

I continue to wear a 27" cotton bandana over my face for a few reasons, and it has nothing to do with "covid" (never has).

When in public I OFTEN combine the bandana over my face with a boonie hat on my head.

The topic of this thread is one of those reasons.
Not that I'm wanted, as I'm easy to find if the government wanted me.
I'm a Patriot and simply enjoy bucking this commie-style system of facial recognition.
Just like red flag laws, this facial recognition system will be abused, and I'm not okay with it.

I'm working on the right gear to cover my eyes, simply as a Patriotic Middle Finger to the incoming CCP-style system.

Wearing a mask does essentially nothing for the facial recognition camera. The vast majority are designed to identify starting with the eyes. Chances are if your eyes are visible they know it’s you. I’m not sure if everyone one is designed the same but the ones that are in wal marts, casinos, and already in some cities across America are designed this way.

If you truly want to avoid detection a full mask with sunglasses might be an option but I’m not even sure if that would work. This is a pretty high tech software that’s used.

I don’t really like the idea of it but at the same time it doesn’t really bother me. I rarely go out in public if it’s not work related or occasionally enjoying time out with my family. Other than that the only places I stop are the gas station, gun range, academy, and my local gun shop when I have the money lol.

    Lol @ major casinos, whoopie.
They use it for their own security reasons and I don’t believe they are networking with anyone unless it’s with another casino. So again, whoopie.
Walmart’s system is the one I would be concerned with. It’s on par with what is in use in China and may even be the same tech, borrowed, bought or stolen.
So yeah, if you find yourself on the lam, don’t roll into Walmart to resupply or you’ll likely be picked up in the parking lot.

This is a major reversal of the Council's stance on facial recognition. They were 100% against it when NOPD first started using it without telling anyone. The Council hit hard on the fact that some early systems had trouble recognizing differences in African features. They came up with nightmare scenarios of NOPD using facial recognition to put out a dragnet for the wrong person and then gunning them down.

This may be another play in the blame game that is going on between the Council, the mayor (NOPD included in the mayor's domain), the DA, and the judges.

I’ve gotten a lot of info from the casino cameras. They have a basic feature that can follow you around like your locked on with a maverick missile. I’ve never heard of Walmart calling in a wanted subject, ever. They don’t have access to the NCIC network.

I seem to remember Rayray getting in trouble when Medford set up the big crime cameras. Let’s hope Latoya does the same with a swift kick in the ass out of office. Will the camera system works better than the ankle monitoring systems have?
The crime will not improve until the mayor, Chief, DA & judges work together and keep criminals locked up. I’m not holding my breath.
How do banks deal with the mask?

Maybe we can get a group purchase discount on this mask? :D
