So why would you assume that someone talking about a "black panther" is talking about a "florida panther?" ;)

assume you know NOTHING about cats, you happened to see a big cat on the side of the road, it was dark in color so you say its black. okay then with that, would you believe you saw a cat native to america (cougar, puma.whatever) or that you saw a jaguar from south america? one would be more likely to assume it to be a cat native to the area, where there have been many sighting. i put myself in the position of the uneducated. i love how people will argue with facts and statistics all day long saying that the knowledgeable are stupid for not believing what someone else saw rather than the proven facts. if i was to see a big black cat i would shoot it. no questions asked. and if i was to pay 10k for breaking such a law then okay, as long as its in the name of science and to prove to the world of a cat that has been assumed nonexistent is indeed around. if i see one that must mean that there are many more around, or it magically appeared.

this thread will end with this: if you have seen a big black cat, okay dont argue with someone who will never believe you and drop it. as for those who do not believe in such big black cats in america, do not argue with those who have seen one. let this just be a dead subject. SOMEBODY START ANOTHER THREAD ABOUT OBAMA SO EVERYONE CAN ALL BE ANGRY BUT AT NO ONE ON THIS THREAD! /thread for good.

So, after almost 3 days of me suggesting to you to drop the debate, you now have decided for the rest of us that the thread is over and we must stop discussing it.

    Go **** a blender.

With your spelling, I don't think any of us will use your book...

Seriously, did you gather any of this information on your own? Did you do field studies or get involved with breeding programs? Did you gain all of your knowledge using the Internet search engines. Did you research this at the library? Was there anything, that brought you to your conclusions, that you learned first hand? Probably not and that makes your research as valid as a comic book story.

    Bye!

Although I personally have never seen one, my cousin in Texas claims that there is, in fact, a troll that lives under a bridge on the way to his camp. I'll have to call him and verify what color phase it is though......

Trolls only come with orange hair, but they have reports of some with green hair. I highly suspect that the green haired troll is from Chicago...seems that everyone from there disregards the rules.

You are lying- There is no possible way for there to be a troll with green hair. It is not in their DNA. There are ogres with green hair from England, but not trolls, we are in 'merica. One may have escaped from a zoo or circus train crash, or a flood washed him out from under his bridge out to sea then he swam the rest of the way. You would have to be a very lucky man to see that, which you are not. I am telling you what you saw because I am the resident troll expert and I dont mind being yall's encyclopedia- i read a wikipedia page on it.

    Backwoods Louisiana
people up in northeast Louisiana see black panthers all the time. In fact my builder's son saw one run creep across the dirt road into the woods not 2000 ft from the road into my land. The man that owns the land behind me has seen one at least once.

I don't know where they come from or whether they are indigenous to Louisiana but they are certainly not rare and certainly black.

Do you always have a camera with you? I don't have a camera phone. And when this happoned I didn’t even have a camera. It is also 10 year’s puss a 10,000 dollar fine to have one in position. A guy hit a bear a couple of years back, paraded it through town and went to jail. Don’t get caught with it.

I usually have a camera in the truck, yes. I don't have a camera phone either. Heck, I don't even have a cell phone.

I would at least like to think that people who compare accounts of these sightings to seeing "Bigfoot" are just trying to be funny....:hs:
