Go look on FAL files and you'll see the details on the Argintine (SP?) FAL parts kits Sarco has.

I ordered 3 of them to get the $525 price vs the standard $550.

Showed them To Jim Fuller (Known for AK's, but he got his start on FAL's)
He said they were the nicest he's ever seen.

They are NEW, Sarco gaurontees they will be matching, and as Fuller siad, you can see from the thread pitch that the barrels have never been screwed into the reciever.

(Jim said he was ATLEAST gonna build one for himself)

I'm gonna be talking to the owner of the company tomorrow about a 'bulk rate' I'm thinking about getting atleast a half dozen myself just to sit on...

Thing about these, is since there has been the barrel ban... there WILL NOT be any more imported...

I don't know what the potential discount will be, but I'm fairly sure if I can get atleast 20 together that I can get it under $500.

-Decent kits are mid 3's atleast...

and those arn't NEW OR matching...

Other than mine I've got a couple buddies who want in, so I'm looking to see who else is interested.

Bam... You other guys who know me... I can float a couple for a few weeks if need be. Don't let that stop you.. give me a call.

I'd like to get Pangris (Yep, calling you out dude) or someone whom people know better to do the money thing... but whatever works.

Ya'll give me an idea about what kinda numbers I'm talking so I can talk to the company owner with some numbers tomorrow.

    Recap:
    ~$500 for the parts kit
    $250-$300 for a Coonan reciever.
~$100 for US parts... (THye are Semi if you want to use up your US parts on Wood or something)

You can have a TOTALLY NEW and MATCHING FAL for under $1,000

    ...Try to beat that.

I am starting to get a case of FAL fever. What's the cure? 2, maybe 3?

    .

No, because I have WAY more than that and I now have 10 FAL kits to build.

    Looking at:
    Rifles:
    G1
    Imbel
    L1A1
    Wood rifle
    Izzi Style wood handguard'd rifle
    Argintine (SP?)

    Carbines:
G1 carbine with Bipod (Because I wanted it and had a barrel with a pitted end)
    Carbine without bipod
    Several Paras

    ...Not sure about the rest.

    Am I missing anything?

Guys I have a few buddies and quite a few people that I know from the files that have these kits and had these built, they make some great shooters! Here are a few pics of mine, It does have the F.M.A.P receiver which is VERY Hard to find these days but they are out there!

As you can see they do make some nice rifles BUT they are not the sexy good looking riFALS like the STG's or German G1's. Again this is just my opinion but The Argy's are built on the type 3 lowers which you just about have to build with a type 3 upper or it will really look like a bastard rifle. Where as the above mentioned rifles are built on the Type I and II lower wich you can use either I or II uppers on, long and short, type III's are great, run very well and click bang everytime. The Type I's are sext and the type II's are DAMN SEXY!! and they will also CLICK BANG while looking AWESOME! ;)

I paid $200 each for (2) kits... but they came with alot of acessories.

Before these.... other than that $140 was the most.

But none of those were NEW... and that was SOME years ago!

If we knew then what we know now! I have a friend who makes a fair bit more money than I, when the Imbel 179.00 kits were available I told him to buy as many as he could afford, he actually listened to me and bought like 50 kits. He has sold them for 300-350.00 and literally doubled his money since then. He gave me a Rhodie kit for insisting he buy as many as possible. The argy kits are VERY nice, but for the money involved I think a new DSA would be my choice.

    Wasn't knowledge... it was money.

I bought over 60 AK kits from $99- $140 each.

I've bought as much as I could, every step of the way.

As to the Argy's vs DSA's...
DSA (Amoung other things they have done to **** me off) have droped the chrome lined barrels... and they TRIED To pimp it like ti was a GOOD thing that they were using US barrels and not bothering to chrome line them.

I'll take originals for slightly less, and personally built/custom over mass produced.
(Which is why I'd do a Red Jacket over an arsonal)

We had a nice talk, nice guy.

Here's the price he gave me, I've got to call him back personally to get it.
(Keep in mind they are $550, or (3) for $525 if you order on your own)

    10: $500
    15: $485
    20: $470
    30: $460

I'm fairly sure we've got 15 covered... (I've got a couple other guys in)
    Lets shoot for 20.
    That'll be a $80 discount.

    Who's in for how many?
