The historical context of a 'militia' is that your neighbors came together for the collective protection of the community. They brought their own weapons and were 'well reulated'. Well regulated meant they were drilled in the state of the art military tactics of the time. The regular Army...
If you're under 21, the questionaire gets sent to the local PD and they must affirm to all the questions. The reality is that we aren't even prosecuting gun crimes in blue cities and they have cut police department budgets to the point where they will say it can't be done. My compromise would...
As much as it pains me to say, any citizen inappropriately arrested in a foreign country we should care about since sets a precedence. I may not cross the street to help her but, I wouldn't stick a knife in her eye. Given the opportunity, I'd stick a knife in Putin's eye.
Originally planned to retire in New Orleans. We moved to rural Texas 2 years ago. Think back to after Katrina, under Mitch Landrieu, when they built a prison that was too small, not enough beds, for the population and crime rate in NOLA. The city's own independent crime group railed against...
Honestly, the stock isn't that old and fixing it may be more trouble that it's worth. Consider a replacement that's pretty close. Might even be able to find an older, new to you, stock from the same maker. Have it refinished and no one will know but you. Take the knowledge to your grave...
Good reading for you: https://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=360561. I always keep a spare action springs in my inventory and my guns much newer. Good luck.
Do you reload? You can make cuff links from .45 ACP case heads. Buy the mounts from Amazon, cut down the case, and epoxy the heads to the mounts. They charge $60 at fine men's stores but you can make them for pennies. Plus it is something you made. Congratulations and good luck.
What's your budget? Good suppressors aren't cheap and the wait time is lengthy. I have and shoot 300 BO AR15, 5.56 AR15, 6.8 SPC AR15, and 308 AR10. All are great rounds and rifles. The ammo for 5.56 and 308 is cheaper and the variety of ammo is better. The 6.8 SPC is a wonderful hunting...
It's a hammer. I think everyone has covered most of it. The LCRX might be a bit light in the frame. I'd look at either a GP100 or SPS101. The all steel frame will help manage the recoil. I love the round. Have it in a single seven, lever gun, and a GP100. Good luck.
Some clubs are run well. Others not so much. If your the only one who notices and no one else in the club has said or done anything, the club may not be run so well and you should consider leaving. If others are noticing, everyone should collectively say and do something; That's a well run...
Both are great rounds for their designed purpose. Pick the range you're most likely to shoot. I'd say if you're regularly out at 300 yards and beyond consider the 6.5.
The 6.5 performs better at long ranges and not so well at close ranges. The velocity is fast and the bullets don't expand...
