Gary Henry and I used to work together years ago. Is he still trying to shoot?

Yea. Every once in a while he finds the X ring. Actually, he is a fine prone shooter. His "thing" is Palma shooting - 15 shots each at 800, 900 and 1000 yards with a .308 shooting no heavier than a 155 gr bullet. Iron sights.

We worked together around 1980 at the gravel pits on LA. 16 in St. Helena he loved to bring his guns and shoot what seemed like from one Parish to another.

    FALfan is a lefty?

How did you shoot? What rifle? Palma?

When are you going to write about your shooting adventures in 2008?

Yep, southpaw here. Gary's rifle is quite nice. I think it has a Bat action. It is the nicest rifle I have ever shot. I will have a steep learning curve but Gary will help me with that. I think this is going to be fun.

People buy alot of pretty rifles that have theoretical capabilities. Most have no idea about the ability of the most important ingredient - the shooter. Shooting at Palo Alto will make you a better shooter. No doubt. And it is so much more fun than letting your toys gather dust. Stick with Gary, he really knows what he is doing.

See you out there next time.

    Dan

PS Try to convince more of these guys to come out and shoot. i see lots of pictures of nice guns. I would love to see tham on the line. We will bend over backwards to help.
