I have the Badger Ordnance latch on my charging handle and I love it. I have not had any problems and would highly recommend it. I have not put it through any heavy shooting, but for recreational purposes I think it was well worth the 20ish bones it cost me.

    Barney,

You can keep your original handle just by adding the Latch. Not a big deal. Jim's had them in stock last week, probably still has some. Just ask for a Tac Latch.

For anyone concerned, the Badger is steel but the open portion of the handle is definitely a little too small for a carabiner hookup adequate to support your entire weight during black helicopter operations ;)

You definitely don't want the one offered by the Miculek guy...I hear if you use it, your AR will be limited to six rounds, but you'll still probably win the rifle match :D
