Oh yea, . . . I'm in New Orleans too. Algiers as well. High and dry on the alluvial flood plain of the river. Lived in Algiers for six decades, (except while in the Army).

So far 3.75" of rain in my gauge. Gusts of wind are starting to pick up a bit.

Much ado about naught, but better to be prepared, than not.

The wind is starting to pick up here in Algiers. Probably 35 mph with stronger gusts.
All is well. Watching from my recliner through the storm door.
The winds are out of the South East. When they are out of the South West the worst will be over for me.

So is my part of Lakeview/Gentilly.
I've accidentally left my trunk open with tools in plain view overnight with nothing disturbed.
I had a freezer delivered and left on my door step and a sound bar, while I was out of town. Came home 3 days later and they were still there.

you still have power bud? looks like it's going down left and right. But the map can be wrong b/c it says my friend's street is without power but they have it.

Well the good news Francine now max winds of 75 mph. Bad news is the eye may pass just east of Hammond. Track clearly well east of forecast. Garyville lost Entergy elect power. Laplace has some outages too. Entergy outages

Schriever and Morgan City power out
