Well then, I guess this one has a long way to go. The threads with "add a picture, GIF, etc" have a life of their own, but ones that survive with members replying, sniping at and arguing with each other like this one are a totally different animal.

Let me steer this in a slightly different direction . Suppose you have a concealed handgun in your console . Perfectly legal as we know . Officer asks " Are there any weapons in this vehicle " ? Of course you tell him that there is . Now what ? Can the Officer go in your vehicle and take possession of it ? You are not under arrest and the weapon is not on your person .

It’s easier for folks if they just come to the realization that police can do whatever they want in the moment. It keeps you from objecting or giving any argument during the contact. If they ask for consent, you may of course refuse, but they may still do what they want. Then later, if you discover they’ve acted unlawfully, you’ll be in the best position to have your day in court. Just my two civilian cents.

I went to search -> advanced search -> search threads. I made 200 the minimum number of replies. Order by most replies. Display results by thread.

I did not include a keyword. I just did another search and looked for "the" and got slightly different results. I haven't found a way to look at all threads and sort by the number of replies. The search threads allows you to set before than or after than option so I would have thought all threads would be considered if those options aren't used. I just did another search and used a space as the keyword and got fewer results than for "the" so there may be more results with better search terms.
