I am down for 1 or 2 receivers if you guys get a group buy going. I am looking for 1 for a triangle side folder, and 1 for a side folding plum stock, like what Speed has on his Bulgie 74. I am guessing these are 2 different receivers, one for a side folder and one for a regular stock that folds, but I don't know as I am fairly new to the AK world (even though I have owned an AK for 6 or 7 years now).

i dont think were going to have enough for a group buy on receivers unless someone can find someone else. i think la gun said they needed 20+ receivers to get the $10 transfer fee. jason already said he would transfer mine for $10, i could talk to him about doing a group buy if anyone else wouldnt mind driving to ponchatoula to get theirs.

i still havnt seen anything about a build party either. the more i think about it the more i realize that if i were them i wouldnt want a bunch of strangers from the internet coming to my house either lol

I like Jason dealt with him on a AR group buy but I will burn way more in fuel than the extra 10 dollars to drive to Ponchatoula

Is there any interest in the Lafayette area for some receivers ?????????? If so I can talk to my FFL about doing a "group" transfer, just not many peeps on this side of the woods

I am flexible on the location of the pickup of the receivers. However, unless we save some $ on the actual receiver and not just the $10 on the transfer, I would be better off using the same FFL I always use with a $15 fee. On the other hand, if it comes down to you guys only needing one more for a group transfer, I don't mind going that route to help out. I would be ok with either Jason or LA gun if that were the case.

Charliepapa has a sponsor that will do it for $10 in Prairieville but I'm waiting to hear back on that. He didn't say if that was only for a certain level of transfers or any number. The most we can save on a receiver from Nodak is $5 per receiver so it may not be worth the hassle unless someone has a bunch they want to buy.

I read reviews on the OOW, and it said that they where not fully heat treated, but it seems the new advertisements state that they are? The only knock on them was the heat treating, so if that is fixed...

yes, I have spoken to Alan at Geaux Shootin and he has agreed to do them for $10 each.

Ordered from classic today. Put me down for barrel and receiver also for group buy.

I broke and ordered one from classic, so I to need a reciever and barrel

What the hell - I pushed the button for one and a barrel. I'm really wanting one with all arabic markings. Going to wait a while and see what other kits come to market in the next year.
