Look, the whole thing is beyond retarded. There is no way his certificate will not be correct...hell he's the head to the train here, it would be a snap of the fingers for a proper cert to magically appear.

    It's all for the media.

Penguin is from Chicago and we can see where his allegiances lie. Voting party line is bad either way. Both parties are corrupted and run by big business and as a whole, both parties could care less about the people. There are good individuals in each party that care and try to do whats best, and what their constituents want, and what not, but as a party...they both suck. Nick, I admire your courage and willingness to fight for what you believe in, but I think you may be taking some opinions as fact. However on the bottom line of the problems stemming from the fed, I must agree.

    Bush: Patriot Act=unconstitutional
Obama: Must be natural born citizen and should have to prove it like everyone else does to get a job.
    Congress: Where do we start?

If found that Obama is not legit, any bill or treaty he has signed will be null and void and Biden takes over. I do not like the fact he is a moron and anti 2A, but by God, at least he was born here and can prove it.

You guy's aren't paying attention, even if Obama was born in the US, he still isn't a Natural Born Citizen, his father was a British subject! Barrack isn't the legal President, plain and simple, the election is void, we have to have a new one.

Don't worry about "sticking" with your choice. Use you reasoning to determine whether Obama is doing a good job or not. If you are a corrupt socialist I should imagine he's the best thing since FDR to you.

Guys, the reason the president hasn't tried to defend himself against the birthers charges, is that he knows that no matter what he does - even if he produces exactly what they ask for - they will continue to look for other grounds on which to challenge his legitimacy. He understands the old saying, "Never argue with a fool. He'll just drag you down to his level and beat you with the home field advantage." He has nothing to gain from the argument. Best to just ignore it.

i can ignore the birth thing, but I CAN NOT ignore him trying to literately push health care down our throats with a rule that was NEVER meant to be used on something of this caliber. He has said multiple times during the bush years that reconciliation is not a good way to get things done.

Actually reconciliation gets used pretty often. I guess the only reason they're acting like it's never been done is because they want to try to make the Democrats look bad.

But let's be honest here, do we really want to use something like this on such a huge, controversial bill? Political views aside, it is not fair to the american people to use a process like this on such a huge bill, I think that is something most people could agree on.

I don't think it's right for the Republicans to be playing hardball either, but they've done so ever since **** Chaney said he wanted America to fail under President Obama. Their solid wall of "NO!" has been pretty phenomenal. I noticed the system asterisked-out Dique's name. :mamoru:

I think what we're seeing now is no more than the continued escalation of the polarized politics that has been developing since the mid-nineties. This is a trend that's been going on for a long time, and I don't expect it to end until the American people just get dog-tired of it.
