Go to a couple of shops and shoot both. And shoot different models of each brand. Each bow will feel and shoot in your hand. I've shot Mathews for about the last 10 years. I bought a new one about 2 years ago and shot PSA, Hoyt and Mathews when I was shopping. I shot different models of each until I found the one that felt the best when shooting it.
I second the shoot different bows. I would also expand your brand search I shoot Martin and I love them. I don't search for the latest and greatest every year like some as long as the arrow hits the mark I am happy.
Find trusted shop in your area. I'm in Denham and love Gothem Archery, just check around relatively close to you. Make sure it feels good. Start with a kit with a bunch of adjustable weight and draw length - work on form don't worry about fancy gizmos at beginning of wanting to draw high weights. Most of the major brands make really good bows. It's always a debate about what is better between folks. Just my opinion.
