The ole syrup operation got some publicity today in the advocate. It’s a feel good story on my Uncles cane syrup operation. I’m just labor as he’s the brains behind the business.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Count your blessings as any day above ground is a good one.

No link my friend, but I sell it out of my self serve kiosk at my house in BR. I’ll have some next week in the box. Located at 5679 College Drive in BR.
Do you ship? I'd like to try some. My area used to be heavy into sugar cane. I remember the roads would be covered in cane leaves at harvest time every year. That's great that your family's operation got front page!

Well done! We missed making some last year due to the early freeze so I guess we need to double up this year to make up for lost times.

Good luck with the harvest. For as dry as it was, we are still getting some decent tonnage and good sugar content. The brix reading on the cane we used was between 24-25. The best reading we ever got.

Congratulations! Several years ago I was on the front page of the Times Pick leaving the criminal court after one of my NOPD friends was murdered. It wasn't fun having lights and cameras and microphones pushed in my face asking me to comment. Freaking vultures!

Thank you, we are exactly 50% harvested as of today.
Yes, being dehydrated with high brix shouldn’t take too long to cook down.
