Except that rifles are incapable of killing people for no reason.
A better example is black people. They have a similar unknown trigger with a history of unprovoked violence.
Who has genocided more people than any? Your history is far from clean, my friend. In fact, YOUR people bred this fine dog you seem to have such an issue with. And you'll very rarely find a black person all "geeked up and gung ho" about invading and murdering on a grandiose scale.

I don't think there really ever is a true unprovoked dog bite by any breed. My take is that someone did NOT read the signals that were being expressed by the animal. Of course, we have children riding bikes and being chased down. I don't expect them to stand their ground when an animal that weighs as much as they do come at them.
Also, I'm a strong proponent of personal responsibility so the OWNER WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DOG'S BEHAVIOR. ALWAYS.
No different than a firearm.
