What was your favorite trip? Where'd you go and what made it special? Bonus points for picture!

I'll start - my favorite trip was my honeymoon to Bora Bora a handful of years ago!

Taiwan - toured the majority of the country. Taipei memorials and temples were amazing. Street food was second to none. People are kind and hospitality is amazing. Hotels and resorts are really exceptional. Visited numerous historic sites and spa's are legendary. Royal Museum and Tea House was really special, artwork was incredible. Learning about the brave souls that founded the true Republic of China was humbling. Made me a lifelong supporter of our Taiwanese allies.

Hope to return again soon. It is truly Formosa.
Not sure soon is the right time to go to Taiwan LOL

My two favorite were both on deployment on board CVN68 USS Nimitz. One to Phuket, Thailand and the other to Naples, Italy. I’ve been on many family vacations and cruises but nothing can compare to waking up one morning with a bank account full of money you haven’t been able to spend in a foreign port with all of your closest friends.

Can’t pick one. Been to Europe about 5 times, Colombia 5 times, New York like 8 times. The best trips and memories are always about the company, not the place.

St Bartholemew Skinned in Il Duomo. Coolest sculpture I’ve ever seen. I was stunned when I realized what it was.

Not religious at all, but you can’t help but be a little Catholic in this room.

    Lesssgoooo!

What elevation were y'all hiking at?
We took the tram in Teton Village up to 10450 feet. Then took the Rendezvous mountain trial over to Middle South Granite canyon which drops down to 9000 feet. Camped there one night then hiked to Marion Lake which is 9600 feet and camped one night. Hiked over to Death Canyon Shelf for two nights. Due to ice and snow further down the Crest Trail over Hurricane pass we hiked down Death Canyon, camped one night. Finished our trip with a hike to Phelps Lake with a one night camp.

We made a trip back in 2017 to Denver, stayed downtown (totally unlike us) but the 16th street mall and Union station was cool. But we mainly went to see Pikes Peak, Garden of the God's, Royal Gorge and did some whitewater rafting (very cool). I think Garden of the God's was so awesome to see, so much so I want to go back again. It was our last family trip as my kids are grown and moved out now.

Was there water at that elevation or did you have to melt snow? Or did you just carry a **** ton of water?
Found more pics of that trip.
Looks like a damn good time!

I’m a trucker so every trip I make home is my favorite. My 2nd was a 2 week dive trip on a boat in Honduras. Night diving is especially cool. We hit all the good spots around the bay islands.
A two week dive trip sure sounds fun! It's been on my bucket list for awhile to get certified.

I’ve been on 6 continents, in 34 countries outside the US, in my 21 years overseas, and only 33 states.
Its a big beautiful world we live in, but there is plenty to see in the US

No favorite, but enjoyed taking my FIL in 2012 to see 4 buddies he hadn’t seen since he left Vietnam in 1970. Walking down the Vietnam Wall with him in DC looking for buddies later I’m sure brought back bad memories, but also closure.

Had plenty I wanted to do with my father, but lost him too soon to do most of it,

Any trip with my wife is a good one. Her health is starting to fail, but we do what we can. Did take her to Europe a few times and Central America. She has a few more things she wants to see in the US so trying to get them knocked out soon
