As a few others have said, post up if you need any gear or if you don't know what you need. We will find it for you to borrow. If you plan to buy gear, ask first. Many of us "old timers" have made all the gear mistakes for you.

We are going to a new schedule at work, so I will have more weekends free. Friendly competative shooting is something I would like to get invovled with. I prefer the hit the target and move on rather than trying get a tight group with a pistol....

1. Don't be
2. Start at 09:00, usually finished noonish
3. The USPSA matches are on Sundays. ICORE, IDPA, and Steel Challenge matches are held on Saturdays.

There's absolutely no reason to be intimidated. Most shooters go out of their way to be welcoming to new shooters. Plus, everyone has to have their first match.

Get there at 8ish, hammer down at 9 and usually done between 12 and 1.

As scooter said, the uspsa matches are Sundays and steel, icore and idpa are Saturday.

Come out and have a blast!
