Might have a windy & rainy late weekend, boys....

BTW - "Kudos" to The Weather Channel. Yesterday AM in the middle of a giant giggle session, they seemed to be going out of their way to tell everyone this had little chance of forming into anything more than a TD- if that.

I must say WAFB in BR did a much better job of being realistic about the possibility. Funny how people ACTUALLY IN THE DANGER ZONE tend to take things like this a tad bit more cautiously.....
Just sayin'. Maybe TWC was just having an off day.

I stopped by Sam's Club after work, the "masses" were already stocking up on boxes of water, canned food, etc.. gas line was long, but that's normal

Last prediction I saw put this at a TS on land fall, Cat I at worst. I'm not boarding up. I'll take in hanging plants, and bird feeders. I've already got three days fuel stockpiled, I'll buy another few 6 gal cans tomorrow.

I really don't think the power would be out for more than eight or twelve hours.

not gonna worry about it at all for the parent's house in prairieville. Storm this size won't be anything but some slightly windy thunderstorms that far inland.

It did screw up my fishing trip for this weekend though.

are they giving a percentage chance on hitting our coast?

I am still in N. LA, but have a house south of Baton Rouge now. I am going down this weekend, but, do I need to board up?

Right now they are predicting that it doesn't get above tropical storm strength, 39-73mph, but that can change.

Give me a neighborhood and I'll make sure someone makes a few extra patrols throughout the night in case power goes out. That goes for anyone in the Ascension parish area.
