I don't know, but they have gotten very good with the forecasting. They have taken the surprise out of it.

I used to say that wherever they showed it going early on, you knew was safe, because it would always change. But not anymore.

There is a high pressure infront of it and an low pressure behind it keeping it from getting stronger. also the wind sheer in the upper level clouds it not letting the storms uppper level clouds develop. Water temperature is not the only factor for a hurricanes strength.

Last night we had a bigg part at "The Bar" near my house because the owners and a lot of other people were sent home because of the storm. They are probably still drunk.

I was told by a friend of mine in Lake Charles that the Calcaseiu Parish Director of Homeland Security (aka Henny Penny) was on TV last night at the mobile command center they set up downtown by the lake and "Declared A State Of Emergency"....

National Incident Commander Adm. Thad Allen says that ships will begin moving back into the Deepwater Horizon response area at noon.
