Exactly what I was thinking. How interesting would it be if it flared up to a Cat 3 12 hours from shore?

I'm thinking the same thing, better be ready. I kind of hope the power goes out for a few hours so I can have a reason to use my generator.

Just ran to the store. Got water, non perishables, batteries. All phones, iPods, and power tools are charging right now.

It's good practice, but we all know that these things can flare up fast. They're not gonna have time to evacuate the city if it gets stronger that close.

Currently drinking coffee on the beach in Ft. Morgan and the gulf is totally flat. No wind, no rain, no oil and no signs of Bonnie yet! Life is good!
