I'd love an auto knife and actually could if I wanted... but they cost too damn much! My lil kershaw is plenty fast, rediculously sharp (can still shave hair with the factory edge after 2 months of use) and was $30.

Agreed on the Kershaw spring knife. I have one and its super sharp and very quick and smooth. Good positive lock too. Hard to beat for the price.

Another vote for CRKT M16..Its my favorite..

Although I really like the look of the Kabar TDI . Not really a pocket knife though..

S&W SWAT that's been beat all to hell from being used for non-knife things such as pounding & prying. Needs sharpening, though. And let me just say, who needs a switchblade when you can have a knife that opens with a flip of the wrist? :naughty:

My EDC is usually a Spyderco Pikal, and sometimes an Emerson La Griffe on my off side. Sometimes I carry a SAK in my pocket, too.

The Pikal is set up to open in reverse grip. I prefer reverse grip for smaller blades like folders and have taught reverse grip edge in for several years - it has become popular over the last couple of years which is great for me - now there are dedicated tools for the way I prefer to train.

Funny that this was bumped. Mine just changed.

I also have been carrying a Gerber Blunt multitool. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep carrying it but I bought it on a whim at Cabela's so I figured I'd give it SOME use.
