In a true SHTF time Id rather have this pistol. It can hit its target out to 200 yards and turns most hard cover into soft cover.

I need to get one of these. Are all dracos equal or certain places to pick one up?

I'm not a Glock guy but I have a question. Why the G19 preference over the G17? Size? Just curious. Interesting thread though. I would personally prefer the gun I am most accurate and proficient with...1998 Sig p226 with custom made Hi-cap mags. Or for REAL knockdown and Hi-cap, my FNP45.

i changed my mind, i just cleaned my new kahr for the first time, only other pistol ive cleaned is my glock. the glock is way easier to clean and the kahr left me dropping many f-bombs. dog hiding under the kitchen table. id take my glock, it holds more bullets parts are easier to come by and it is much easier to strip and clean. for day to day, i really like my kahr though

In the event of only 1 handgun and had to scavage for ammo. I would go with my Ruger New Model Blackhawk .357 / .38 sp. / 9 mm convertable. It shoots great with all 3 calibers ( 9mm creates slightly larger groups, but still accurate) , 3 different ammo options if we had to scrap and find some. Very dependable and built like a rock!! Only draw back is slow reload!!

Mais, I'd take a CZ or a Glock in 9mm or 45, and a really big Cold Steel War Hammer.
More likely the Glock in the half-an-inch chambering.
    With a boatload of ammo.

    Imo, yes, size.

If you want to conceal it, particularly in the most popular IWB or OWB strong side holsters, that lil extra bit of grip on the 17 is a hindrance not a help.

If you don't care, or don't carry in those locations, the 17 may make more sense.

In a "post-apocalyptic" or Katrina outcome...I ain't concealing ****! Of course,a breakdown of government and law would've taken place already. And then......the movie credits start rolling. :D
