    Please expound on.....

    Would you let the TSA goons take off your sons clothes and feel around their genitals?

    Could you, as just another person in line, passively sit there and watch this happen?

    I am not saying their should of been violence, but the total lack of emotion by the people witnessing this is frightening.

    That wouldn't bother me in the least. It's not like they did a cavity search.

    This is a slippery slope we are on. Cavity searches may be next. What happens if everybody adopts your attitude leading to even greater invasive techniques. You get pulled over by the police and just because they "feel" they suspect something they cavity search your wife/daughter just because they can. I for one am outraged at this. And the Demtards complained about the Bush policies being intrusive. Give me a break...

    you didn't answer my question.

    Yeah, I know I didn't. It's mainly because I don't have strong feelings about it either way. I'm more interested in not scaring my child than I am with some lofty principles. I really don't think that this society will ever return to the freedoms we knew in our youths. I don't think there's anything you and I can do to affect that, and as one of our southwestern governors said just before losing his office, "If you're being raped and you can't do anything about it you may as well relax and enjoy it." Or something like that. :)

    I think the cause of this culture of fear and invasion stems primarily from our government's promotion of people who should be simple criminals to the equivalent of heads of states.

    So your solution is to teach your child thats its okay, and to have fun with it? You might as well rename him Sue and get it over with

    Well, my child's name is Lourdes, and she's a girl, but that's not the point. the point is that my goal is to raise a well-adjusted happy child into a well-educated, well-rounded adult who is capable of adapting herself to a wide range of life situations, and seizing her own advantage in each, so that she lives a happy life like her old man. In order to do so I want her to learn (among other things) that stuff like body searches, doctors' visits, and locker rooms are not something to be uncomfortable about. Like I said I eschew these lofty principles preferring to focus on what i consider more important matters closer to home.

    The statement about Evan Mecham was a joke. I've always thought it to be one of the funniest things a governor ever said.

    The story is over blown. The boy wasn't strip searched by TSA. His dad pulled the boy's shirt off. Here, read this article- http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_thelo...tories-emerge-while-agency-ponders-what-to-do
    There are over reactions, out right lies and, just like some Open Carry proponants have been accused of, planned provocation.

    Luke tells everyone what happen in the Video Comment section;

    Make sure you read the WHOLE THING!

    Lets get the facts straight first. Before the video started the boy went through a metal detector and didn't set it off but was selected for a pat down. The boy was shy so the TSA couldn't complete the full pat on the young boy. The father tried several times to just hold the boys arms out for the TSA agent but i guess it didn't end up being enough for the guy. I was about 30 ft away so i couldn't hear their conversation if there was any. The enraged father pulled his son shirt off and gave it to the TSA agent to search, thats when this video begins.

    ******* THIS VIDEO OCCURRED AT SALT LAKE CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ON NOVEMBER 19TH AT AROUND THE TIME OF 12:00 PM **********

    ***Insertion of what happened after the video (full story)****

    After I finished videotaping the incident I went through the check point myself. I collected my things and went over to talk to the father and son. Before I could get to them a man in a black suit who had been talking with the other TSA officials approached me. He asked to speak to me and I obliged, wondering what was to come. He then proceeded to interrogate me about why I was videotaping the "procedures of the TSA". I told him that I had never seen such practices before on a young child and decided to record it. The man being frustrated at this point demanded to know my plans with the video, of which I didn't respond. Repeatedly he asked me to delete the video, hoping his mere presence could intimidate me to obey, but I refused. By this point it became obvious that he felt TSA had done something wrong and that I caught it on tape. After the interview, I left for my gate. I called my brother who told me I should put the tape on YouTube because this had been a recent hot topic in the news.
    My gate was a long way off, but about 15 minutes after arriving 2 TSA agents came and sat 15 feet or so away from me. I stood up and moved so that they were in front of me and then took a picture. A 3rd and then a 4th agent came and sat down with the others. They would occasionally glance at me and talk on their walkie-talkies. I don't know why they were there or if it was a huge coincidence but they stayed for 30-45 minutes and left just before I boarded the plan. Interesting to say the least, intimidating? Maybe a little...

    And you think this person you know as "Luke" is telling the truth why?

    Ok Mr. Strawman;

    I never said that what Luke "The video poster" said was the truth.

    Luke is the guy who posted the video. The truth of his words is as good as a TSA official IMHO, and surely better than YAHOO :rolleyes:

    The video simply speaks for itself.

    Obviously it does not. If the father was the one who removed the kids shirt, then what's the problem? As you pointed out, the truth of some unknown "Luke's" words are just as trustworthy as those of a government official (in your words :rolleyes:). That being the case why are you upset? If you don't trust either person, then forget the whole deal.

    AGAIN WITH THE STRAWMAN ARGUMENT!

    What's your problem?

    Not once in this topic have I made a statement that any reasonable person would assume that I was UPSET.

    I posted the video b/c it was news about TSA and the searches. The title of the topic is the title of the video. He updated his video with the comment section so I posted that too.

    Jeez man, before long you'll be a scarecrow with all that straw :rolleyes:

    No matter who removed the shirt, the atrocity is that a person was searched without probable cause to believe that he committed a crime. That is enough.
