this was your quote was it not lolYea i think I deserve more than a normal citizen.
Roflol I meant when it comes to being required certain certification for firearms. I didn’t mean I deserve a mansion and a million dollars handed to me. I feel that Veterans shouldn’t be required to pay for what they have already been trained for lol. I love how the internet can take anything out of context for personal entertainment…. It’s ok bro, I’m not mad at ya.this was your quote was it not lol
along with this one next
"I never said I deserved anything more than anyone else"
no biggie man, thats the beauty of the text/typing... its all black and white, no sarcasm, or no room for miss understanding its a fact in black and white lolRoflol I meant when it comes to being required certain certification for firearms. Soooo according to your theory somebody who signed up for the military and did his/hers 4 years on the beach in Florida and got a free degree and never seen an M16 except to qualify is equally qualified as you say you are? And if so how long would it take a unworthy or unmilitary educated citizen to achieve the same level of worthy ness to be able to conceal carry a pistol without a tax or license and paper work to protect his family.... Silly me i thought All branches of the military and Police dept's stood for and fought for freedom and equality of United States citizens lolRoflol I meant when it comes to being required certain certification for firearms. Wait wait wait wait…. NOBODY should HAVE to pay for their God given rights! I’m saying what you are saying. When all service members join the military they are drilled into the ground on firearm safety. The average Joe gets free training on safety and familiarization for a firearm mostly rifle, but many qualify with pistols. I feel everyone should seek some type of weapons training, but not be required to pay the government for it. To get a CWP you only have to fire 32 rounds at 3 distances and take a written test to get a CHP. Why should Veterans HAVE to pay anything for what they already know. Oh wait, it’s because the government is greedy… Duh… It’s all good. Nobody on here is going to run me off. I learned how to tune out morons a long time ago…Soooo according to your theory somebody who signed up for the military and did his/hers 4 years on the beach in Florida and got a free degree and never seen an M16 except to qualify is equally qualified as you say you are? its all good bro, i see your new here, you'll fit in real good, Just dont let none of us ol' fogies' get u worked up lol
You literally said “ yea I think I deserve more than a normal citizen” I think you’re the only tool here feeling like the rest of our society who didn’t serve owes you something.Wow what a complete tool answer. I never said I deserved anything more than anyone else. I was simply implying my trading surpasses a regular citizen. I don’t know what type of service you were in, it’s a sacrifice that we chose to take to serve our country. Yes I did volunteer for the first 10 years of my service, but my entire command was stoplossed and sent overseas. Which was an honor to do, but it was not a choice. I don’t know you from the next green guy, but you seem like one of those sour soldiers that wasn’t happy with their service. It’s cool though. I know many veterans who served on Teams that well deserve way more than any civilian who just collects a paycheck and doesn’t contribute to the freedoms of this country. I’m pretty offended that you try to call me out here. What kind of blue falcon are you? I would never say anything like that to any Veteran who sacrificed normality in life. It’s cool man, have a blessed night. Thank you for your service….
Go look at the response I sent to bigchillin83. And for the love of Pete stop trying to read into everything I say. I’m trying to stir up conversations on this. Get your panties out of your crack paw paw.You literally said “ yea I think I deserve more than a normal citizen” I think you’re the only tool here feeling like the rest of our society who didn’t serve owes you something.
Perfectly said!Constitutional Carry should be for all citizens not otherwise prohibited due to previous convictions or mental defect. IMO, as veterans, we should all understand that this change to the law is actually a bad one.
It does confuse people sometimes when people use concealed weapon wording. Since we only have concealed handgun in La. This should be the link to the new law.I need to review the exact text of this law.
If, indeed, it reads "concealed weapon" that is a long way from "concealed handgun". It would mean that veterans would be able to carry a firearm suppressed, whereas one can not with a CHP.
That may not sound like a big deal, but for someone who enjoys long woods walks, it is an important detail.
When can we expect OTF knifes allowed with a CWP--
Rep. Larry Frieman
ATTENTION ALL LOUISIANA VETERANS!
Act 680 becomes effective on August 1, 2022. Under this new law, which I supported, all honorably discharged Veterans who have not been convicted of a violent crime, not under influence of alcohol or drugs, are at least 21 years old may carry a CONCEALED WEAPON WITHOUT A PERMIT in any place and under the same restrictions that those with a permit may carry a concealed weapon. You will need to have proof of being a veteran which can be any military ID card or even your driver’s license showing “veteran” on it.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
From what I understand, right now it's legal to carry an OTF knife in LA, but is illegal to intentionally conceal it.When can we expect OTF knifes allowed with a CWP
Or one of those situations where the officer just wants to be an ass and flex his authority. From what I understand, right now it's legal to carry an OTF knife in LA, but is illegal to intentionally conceal it.
I just can't see someone with a valid concealed handgun permit getting a hard time for carrying an OTF knife with their gun.
It'd have to be one of those one-off situations where someone did something stupid and LE needs a reason to detain and/or arrest.
I mean lets be real here. For the everyday law abiding joe that has a concealed carry permit, it's pretty unlikely that he'll ever have a LEO give him a problem a problem because of a knife he's got in his pocket when he tells the LEO that he's legally concealing a firearm.Or one of those situations where the officer just wants to be an ass and flex his authority.
