Weblinks edited out by vermiform to protect Bayoushooter members. This poster was temp banned in the past for childish behavior and it is my opinion that he or his organization cannot be trusted. I will not subject our community to a possible paypal scam. Open carry is legal in Louisiana and I respect those that do so responsibly. If you are looking for a valid website for Open Carry, I would suggest
    http://www.opencarry.org/.

The boy needs to get a life.

That was the single most professional, courteous interaction I've ever seen involving open carry. The officers were well educated on the laws and didn't even disarm him or mind him filming. Even let him off of a tint ticket. Well done Monroe PD.

The OC guy however is a ****ing loser. How he could possibly try to twist that into a bad encounter is insane.

You missed his point. The only reason they were nice was because he had the camera.

    No.

That's the /assumption/ but not a proper conclusion unless there is documented and experienced tests providing evidence that they, off camera, would behave otherwise.

My experience with Monroe PD is that they love guns, think people should own guns, though I've not met EVERY officer by a long shot.

I doubt motor51 agrees with that point.

It's my understanding that the video of this incident is actually locked away as evidence and has yet to see the light of day. So you must be talking about something else I suppose.

And lol, you are just like JR, wearing your SVT-Biased glasses.

I got this opinion based off of what YOU post.

The truth is you wouldn't say anything but "Yes Sir!" to any cop.

The ugly truth is people like him are necessary tools to keep cops in check. Now if you readers are brave enough to look at the big picture and understand I'm not trying to step on the feelings of any of you over sensitive people. Cops have a few douchebags of their own. The majority of people that have dealings with cops daily are not like that just as not all cops are like those in the video. They are both equally guilty of douchebaggery and there are no winners in the video. While we all get indignant about stuff like this, how often do people of this board actually have dealings with shitty cops? Most of the time it is respectful. These are the guys that keep everyone honest.[/QUOTE
