Fixed it. Once Rifle/modern weapon season opens you can open carry whatever you want without a permit---provided it's not supressed or FA.
You need a concealed carry permit to carry concealed at any time or to carry a handgun open during bow season.
This post reeks of a level of self assurance that the traveler who ND'd possessed right before he pulled that trigger. Understand, it can happen to you, and will happen to you exactly at the time you stop believing that it can.
Further, beyond the guilt of injuring someone and shame and...
Anyone can have an ND. I know plenty of cops, SWAT guys, and more than a few federal agents that have had NDs. Much like this guy they were very familiar with weapons, and familiarity CAN breed a loss of appreciation of the danger and a lack of respect for the weapon.
I think your CCW...
This sucks because it really gives the anti's more fuel for their fire and makes the sheeple more fearful. Hopefully, he didn't try to use "The gun just went off" line.
I really feel bad for the guy though. Even though he made a major handling error, it's happened to us or people we know...
That's what I'm using. I think my dad bought it sometime around '68-'70. He lost interest in reloading soon thereafter and boxed all his stuff up in the original boxes and put it away. It's like a time capsule. I just started using it. Glad to know it's a good piece.
Thanks for the write up. Looks like I need to buy a chargemaster and a Giraud---exactly what Rick and Ted were telling me last weekend.
Is anyone besides me cleaning their cases ultrasonicly? I'm trying to find the best fluid mix to use. So far some Dawn and Vinegar in water produce good...
lajeeper, You won't get a better deal than this all week. Ted, I may roll in a bit early too to confirm my 100 yard zero since my scope has been moved around.
Honestly, anyone who's even thinking about coming to FPR should come out. I've just started shooting at 600 yards in F-class and FPR...
I've always been in the habit of notarizing CHP and CMP packages for free---I'll also notarize stuff for NFA apps (just please don't bring me any of those horrible one size fits none form trusts). I usually just tell guys that I know and they pass it on, but anyone can feel free to take me up...
I disagree with this advice. There is absolutely no reason to file a trust in the conveyance records of the parish unless you intend to hold immovable property (real estate) in the trust, nor does it provide you any additional protection. Filing the trust and obtaining certified copies out of...
I had an awesome time and am thankful to have yet another weekend a month to come out and shoot a 600 yd. comp. I'll shoot F-TR the first weekend of the month and FPR the second. I suspect many others will as well.
Much like Warren, I'm ready to step up again---from my Millett TRS-1 to an...
I'm certainly not a veteran---I shot my first (practice) match out there at 600 yds. last weekend. But I'll give you a few pieces of advice a based on what I've recently learned.
First, you don't have to be a member to shoot the comps at Palo Alto. So, you should find a comp you want to...
