405 gr @ 1300 FPS out of a Marlin 1895gbl shoots really soft. It’s ridiculous how easy it is to shoot.
The same bullet @ 1700 FPS..... not so much.
If I had to do it over again I would get another GBL and slap an aimpoint micro on top.

From my research the general consensus on the interweb is that Underwood has the hottest rounds. Buffalo Bore and Double tap supposedly dooes not chronograph at their listed velocities but Underwood does.
That being said I have a couple of boxes of underwood in different grains to try and have...
Necro thread bump.
Well I never did get one as I was hoping that glock would come out with a g40 without the MOS cut.
Did anyone get theirs yet? I got a couple of boxes of underwood and a chronograph if you'd like to see how that ammo performs.

Some guys enjoy collecting guns. Others enjoy just shooting guns. If your the former then don't shoot it. If you want something that goes bang then sell it and buy another and have money left over for ammo. That way you'll be happy and some collector will be happy.
That said, its just a 357. I...
clip a whistle to your PFD. I've gotten to the point where I put mine on before getting out of then truck and take it off after i get back in. The inflatables really are comfortable. you'll forget its there after a while.
I dunno. Never asked about cast but I'm not worried about it. there are folks on castboolits.gunloads.com that regularly shoot their own cast bullets through stock g20's. Hell I shoot nothing but cast through my g19 and I don't have any leading issues.
I just got my 3 boxes of underwood ammo...
I saw the same thing while researching and called up Glock. They said if its within the SAAMI specs the new G40 would shoot it just fine. The internet is full of **** half the time.
I've got a couple of boxes of Underwood ammo on the way ordered in anticipation. 180, 200, and 220 gr boxes to try.
Those Abu's are the easiest things to take apart and fix.
Does yours have a level wind? Check out Abu's website and pull up a schematic. Those things haven't changed much at all since they came out. I'm willing to bet your spool bearings are shot. There are two of them and you can get...
Repetitive draws will eventually wear a grove on the plastic locking mechanism from your front sight. Just FYI. No big deal since they will send you a new one for free.
Yup. I agree. Eagle creek carry on, laptop bag and I'm good for all first world countries. I travel a lot for work and am gone for a week or more at a time. Packing envelops also keep my clothes nicely organized and wrinkle free.
Take a look at onebag.com for packing tips. Check all the...
Fish should be cruising the shores of the lake right after day break. Sun comes up everything goes deep (i.e. away from the bank) except for the occasional drum and sheepshead. You'll see more action before the sun gets up there.
Anyone in the NOLA/Metairie area got a Glock20SF I can try out? Espc if you got some hot loaded 200gr rounds. I'll meet you at the range and will pay for everything. The 44 mag is just too heavy for me to carry and I really want to try the 10mm again as its been years and I've forgot how it handles.
